I am so thrilled to be a part of the Life 107.1 team and get to know YOU!

I grew up in Big Bear Lake, California. I love getting outside and doing all the fun activities it has to offer…except meeting a grizzly bear. I made my way off the mountain to a place called Orange County in 2006. I later met my wife Aubrey at a barbeque. The food was great and so was the conversation, apparently. She eventually asked me out because I never picked up on her hints. We got married and moved to beautiful Des Moines, Iowa in 2021. I soon discovered central Iowa is an amazing place filled with great people, culture, fun events, and food. I call Iowa home and so I’d like to give back by keeping my community encouraged and uplifted.

Hi, I’m Jeff Connell. Whether it’s at Winter Jam or a Life 107.1 fundraiser, I’ve really enjoyed meeting central Iowans face to face.

I grew up in north-central Minnesota and I currently attend the University of Northwestern – St. Paul! I have the honor of working at Northwestern Media and being on-air with Life 107.1!

I have lived in central Iowa my entire life. I grew up on the south side of Des Moines, and attended Simpson college in Indianola where I met my beautiful wife, Emily. We currently reside in Norwalk.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart. We moved to Iowa in 2014 and have 2 adult daughters and a son in law. I work remote for a non-profit out of Kansas City that is working to end homelessness in the KCK and KCMO public school districts.
