August 12 @ 8:00 am – September 5 @ 5:00 pm
Early Chapel Christian Church is partnering with an international mission, International Disaster Emergency Services (IDES), Noblesville, Indiana, to build sheds for their neighbors in Greenfield by an F4 tornado that killed 4 and injured more than 35 on May 21, 2024. More than 150 homes were total losses.
IDES contacted Early Chapel Christian Church, of Earlham, IA to host a shed-building project for those of Greenfield who lost everything due to the disastrous Tornado. The sheds are for families to have a safe place to store salvaged belongings, tools, and materials while waiting for insurance and rebuilding their homes and lives.
More residents of Greenfield affected by the tornado are in need of a shed and have requested this labor of love to be built on their lot to help the residents rebuild with safety and security. Early Chapel will receive more shed components to be built on the site. If you or a small group are able and interested 5-30 able-bodied volunteers will be needed each day from August 12 – and into September. Please register to volunteer and select the days you and/or your small group would like to serve at; ides.volunteerlocal.com (meals will be provided to volunteers). A great way to help and show you care by helping to ‘rebuild’ Greenfield with the love of Christ.
