September 22 @ 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
To raise awareness and understanding of Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and educate the public, healthcare professionals, care facilities/nursing homes/hospice, and law/policy makers about symptoms/behaviors, and the diagnosis process. FTD is the most common form of dementia for those under 60 years of age. This is especially for those living with FTD or caring for a loved one with FTD.
This event is presented by the local FTD Support Group. It is a free event open to the public. Doors open at 1:00 pm.
The presentation includes the film, “Wine, Women, & Dementia” (a road trip connecting the disconnected – because until there’s a cure there’s community), post film discussion by Angela Lund, M.A. – Associate in Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, snacks and take aways.
FTD Awareness Week is September 22-29, 2024
