The Des Moines Heritage Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of historic buildings in the Des Moines metro area. The organization’s first project, the renovation of the 1909 East Des Moines Union Depot, located at 120 E. Fifth Street in Des Moines’ East Village, transformed the site into a versatile event space. The Trust also releases the Seven Most Endangered Buildings List every May, in honor of National Historic Preservation Month.
