We’ve got a berry bonanza on our hands, so we’re offering FREE ADMISSION to the strawberry fields this week! After surveying our berry patch this morning, our farm manager is reporting that there are well over a thousand quarts of ripe berries ready for picking. Our mission is to make local communities have access to fresh, nutritious food. To ensure all these delicious berries find a home, we’re waving the admission fee for the you-pick patch on June 11 – 15, 2025.
Nowadays, many folks haven’t had the opportunity to taste a truly ripe berry. Practically all store-bought berries in Iowa come from California and are picked weeks ahead of being ripe so that they can be stored and shipped across the country. As a result, they lack in sugar, flavor, and nutrients. Join us for our berry bonanza, if you haven’t already, this week is a great opportunity to visit the farm and come try some!
