Help Me Understand – Why is the forecast wrong?

I’ve been wondering about weather. Years ago, I worked in TV news and had the opportunity to work alongside some amazing people, including some amazing meteorologists. Meteorology has always been something I find fascinating … and it’s also well outside my understanding. Thankfully, I have an amazing friend who’s also an amazing meteorologist and is willing to answer my weather questions. So, I’m asking my friend Meteorologist Jeriann Ritter to help me understand: why is the forecast wrong sometimes?
